Following a pilot in 2016 from Pemba, Mozambique, the current issue of Nice Magazine features stories from Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. Contributing Ivorians reflect on different forms of urban street culture, music, media and fashion and share their thoughts on personal living arrangements, informal economies, on sexuality, gender and mortality, on child labor and on social stigma. Content, images, text and design have been developed in Abidjan in the summer of 2017 as part of a collaborative effort between local photographers and international mentors such as photographer Flurina Rothenberger and design studio Hammer.
